The Kia Soul Hamster Commercials - A New World On Wheels

kia hamster commercial

With the popularity of the Kia Soul-making headlines around the world, the new series of commercials for the Time Magazine’s Most Exciting Car 2010 may just live up to the success of the car itself. The series of adverts focus on hamsters showing off the Kia Soul’s best features. The soundtrack of the adverts brings out the true essence of the car, explaining exactly what goes on under the hood of this modern, futuristic and fun car.

1. Kia Soul EV - "Animals" by Maroon 5

The first commercial shows a team of hamsters working on creating the best electric Kia Soul they can, with a series of futuristic processes to put a little ‘animal’ into the car. A pet hamster accidentally rolls into the bay where the Kia is parked and is fused into the car to create something special. The soundtrack of the commercial is Animals by Maroon 5, clearly showing that although electric powered, a little animalistic nature is under the hood of the Kia Soul EV: Fully Charged.

The door of the Kia Soul EV reveals a female hamster, dressed in a leather attire after being transformed by the electricity pumped into the car. The hamsters working on the project quickly drive to the nearest pet store to pick up more hamsters and have them transform into a group of young female hamsters, to party with them.

2. Kia Soul - "Applause" by Lady Gaga

KIA Soul - "Live For the Applause" by Lady Gaga

In this commercial, we see three hamsters in the gym, getting fit and ready for something special. Training to be the best, performing at the height of their abilities, the hamsters are working hard to get things right. Designers and engineers are putting the final touches on the Kia Soul, and testing each component, drawing each line carefully on the paper to get in shape.

The soundtrack for this commercial is Applause by Lady Gaga – at the end of the commercial we see the three hamsters travelling to a red carpet event, their fans waiting for them impatiently. The three hamsters step out of the car and we see them totally transformed. With hard work and dedication to detail, just like the Kia Soul, the hamsters are ready for the main event and the applause that awaits their hard work.

3. Kia Soul - "Gangnam Style" by Psy

The hamsters are back in style in this commercial, as they use their Kia Soul to time travel back into the 18th century to visit an old opera house. With the opera in the process, the hamsters transform the show into a dance party with Psy’s Gangnam Style ringing out of the DJ booth. With epic lighting and lasers, the Kia Soul is centre stage to show off the futuristic enhancements that make the car what it is.

The Kia soul breaks tradition in this advert, showing that Kia is always ahead of the pack in terms of features and options on the Kia Soul. Much like the Blake Griffin Kia commercials where time travel was possible, The Kia Soul’s radical look will always ensure a stand apart from the crowd.

4. Kia Soul - "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO

In the fourth Kia Soul car commercial, we see a dystopian scene of the future where large robots are in a battle against a group of mechanoid soldiers. The Kia hamsters roll up in their Kia soul and start a little party in the middle of the battlefield. After a short pause, the robots start to tap their feet and join in the song.

The soundtrack for this commercial is, of course, LMFAO with Party Rock Anthem, and fits in well with the Kia Soul’s ability to turn heads and get everyone on board. With the whole battlefield now dancing with each other, the time travelling hamsters in their Kia Soul bop their heads knowing they’ve done well by bringing a little soul to the party.

5. Kia Soul- "Fort Knox (Version)" by Goldfish

This Kia Soul Hamster commercial shows every street and intersection filled with little hamsters in hamster wheels, trying to get somewhere along their route. The soundtrack is provided by Goldfish with their track “Fort Knox”. The funky music starts with the Kia hamsters hooking up their iPod to the car’s sound system to put a little soul into their ride.

With the Kia Soul being such a different looking car, featuring a host of extras and features that change the way you drive, why not put a little soul into your ride and start to enjoy your everyday drive and escape the rat race.

6. Kia Soul - "The Choice Is Yours" by Black Sheep

In the final Kia Soul commercial, we find the Kia hamsters cruising around the streets of Hamster-dam in their shiny new ride. Taking time out to break-dance and play drums, the hamster car commercial points out the breath of fresh air in the new design on the Kia Soul, with the hamsters singing “you can go with this, or you can go with that”- a Line from Black Sheep’s “The Choice Is Yours”.

A clear choice to make for anyone looking for a fresh new car, as the Kia Soul puts a little something extra into your driving experience. Its unique features make it one of the best drives on the road today, and naturally, Kia Soul is one of the featured cars in Chadstone Kia's collection. So the choice is yours when it comes to funky looks and a soulful experience. If you're somewhere in Melbourne and want to check out this sleek beauty, take a quick trip to our showroom, one of the best, if not 'the' best Kia dealer in the city.
